Microsoft Teams panel alternatives
Teams panel alternatives are useful for rooms without a Teams Rooms system. A Teams panel needs certified hardware and a Teams Rooms Pro or Shared Space licence. These options show the same Microsoft 365 room calendars on other devices.
Why teams look beyond Teams panels
- Licensing: each panel needs Teams Rooms Pro or a Shared Space licence; Basic does not cover panels.
- Hardware: only certified panels are supported.
- Check-in: room check-in on a Teams panel requires Teams Rooms Pro.
- Mixed calendars: Teams panels need Microsoft 365 room accounts, so Google or CalDAV rooms are out.
