The open source meeting room display
Spacepad is a meeting room display whose full source code is public on GitHub. Run it in our EU cloud or on your own servers, on any iPad or Android tablet, connected to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or CalDAV.
What open source means for IT
A room display reads your calendars all day. You should be able to see exactly how.
Auditable
Every line that talks to Microsoft Graph, Google Calendar or your CalDAV server is on GitHub. Your security team can review it before you connect anything.
Self-hostable
Run the same software on your own infrastructure with Docker. Your data stays on servers you control.
No lock-in
Not tied to our hardware, and not tied to our cloud. If you ever leave, the code and your tablets stay usable.
Which licence does Spacepad use?
Spacepad is source available under a fair-code licence, the Spacepad Community License (a sustainable use licence, similar to the model n8n uses). It is not an OSI-approved open source licence, and we would rather say that plainly than have you find out later.
In practice: anyone can read, modify and self-host the code. Personal and educational use is free, and organizations can self-host one active display for free. Above one display, or for Pro features, you need a Pro licence. Offering Spacepad as a hosted service to others requires our written permission.
The Pro licence costs $5 per display per month (or $50 per year) for self-hosted, and $8 per display per month if you would rather let us run it.
